Does the Vehicle Information app work for all Nissan models?
Yes. Every Nissan vehicle ever registered in India is in the VAHAN database and looks up correctly through the app — current models like Magnite as well as older models that are no longer in production.
Can I check a used Nissan vehicle's accident history?
The VAHAN / Parivahan database does not store accident history. For that you need: (1) the Nissan authorised service centre records, or (2) an insurance claim history from the insurer. The app shows you the current insurance status which is a useful starting point.
How do I find the engine number of a Nissan vehicle?
The engine number is stamped on the engine block (visible after opening the bonnet). It's also printed on the RC. The Vehicle Information app shows the engine number in the RC tab.
Are Nissan cars available with BH (Bharat) series plates?
