Does the Vehicle Information app work for all Volkswagen models?
Yes. Every Volkswagen vehicle ever registered in India is in the VAHAN database and looks up correctly through the app — current models like Taigun as well as older models that are no longer in production.
Can I check a used Volkswagen vehicle's accident history?
The VAHAN / Parivahan database does not store accident history. For that you need: (1) the Volkswagen authorised service centre records, or (2) an insurance claim history from the insurer. The app shows you the current insurance status which is a useful starting point.
How do I find the engine number of a Volkswagen vehicle?
The engine number is stamped on the engine block (visible after opening the bonnet). It's also printed on the RC. The Vehicle Information app shows the engine number in the RC tab.
Are Volkswagen cars available with BH (Bharat) series plates?
